  • True contentment is found when we are at peace and have a deep trust in God’s provision. It includes having no regret of the past, no envy of the present, and no fear of the future. Money cannot buy happiness, or purchase eternal life. When we are content with what we have, we are free from materialism. This means freedom to follow the Lord and freedom to pursue His will and mission.

    1 Timothy 6:6-7 “But godliness with contentment is great gain, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world” ESV

  • Wisdom begins with reverence for God and a fear for Him and His Word. “The wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere” (James 3:17, ESV). Biblical wisdom is divine knowledge and understanding of everyday life, enabling individuals to make wise choices, act with discernment, and live in accordance with God’s will.

  • Stewardship is rooted in the understanding that nothing we possess belongs to us, everything is owned by God. We are given his resources to advance the Kingdom, which includes our time, possessions, and talents. Financial planning is biblical and is a means to good stewardship, to freedom from the god of materialism, and a means of protection against the waste of the resources God has entrusted to our care.
